Help! Cirrus Logic USB-DVR2 error!!

I have recently installed Pinnacle's Studio and Dazzle software on both my computers, to capture mini dv to mpeg1. At first I was able to capture in Vegas. Now I can't capture in Vegas. I get this message "Cirrus Logic USB-DVR2 Source could not be opened. Please make sure it is tirned on and is not being used by another application or user." Again, this is happening on both computers. I have uninstalled it on one and re-installed vegas, still got the message. I have a deadline, I need help, you guys rule

The file is in the Pinnacle download for the Dazzle Video Creator series. I do not know if this fix will break capture in the Dazzle software or not, so you might want to back up the registry key before you delete it.

Deleting the registry key below fixed it for me. As always, be careful when editing your registry if you are not a power user.

STEPS INCLUDING BACKUP:

Locate the key below in your registry:

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{860BB310-5D01-11d0-BD3B-00A0C911CE86}

Highlight the folder ont he left with the {860BB... label

Go to File > Export... and save it as "Dazzle Cirrus Key Backup.reg" or something.

Now delete the folder labelled "{860BB310... etc"

This should fix things for Vegas. If you have problems with Dazzle afterwards you can put the key back by double-clicking the reg file you exported and choosing to merge it into the registry. Alternately , I assume that reinstalling the Dazzle software will cause this key to return.
