FYI - a spam account tried logging in as me

Hi everyone,

Just an FYI and warning, someone tried logging in as me this morning. I received an email alert saying as much, and it gave me their IP address. A quick search at StopForumSpam.com showed it was a total spam IP. I changed my password, but want to give users and admins a warning about what may happen to others.
 
It has been going around for the last month or so.

Most likely bots that go from one account to another. All of our forums were getting it a few weeks ago with some frequency. Other forums as well. Keep a strong password, and you should be fine against those types of attempts. Usually, just bots.

Thanks for the headsup, though. It is useful information for the other members.
