FcpX transcoding files in the background

Hi everybody.

I've already switched to FcpX and have a question. I read somwhere that if my computer can afford native files from camera it is not necesary to transcode it to pro res. my macbook can edit gh3 files with no problem somduring importing files I uncheck "create optimized media". But qhen i start working on the project, when i turn background task window on, i can see that my files are transcoding. Can anybody tell me how can i turn it off?
 
Did you leave the Video or Audio Analyze options further down that import window selected? That category in the Background Tasks window is actually labelled Transcoding and Analysis. If FCPX is Analyzing for color balance or audio problems that would show up in the background tasks as well.

You don't have to do those on import either. You can still do them at any point later if you decide they're needed.
