External TV Monitor not playing back 24p timeline!

hey guys-
i have my mini-dv cam setup through firewire running to a tv set that i've been using as a monitor. this has always worked great when editing on a standard timeline, but i've tried doing some work on a 24 timeline and it wont play through the camera. i can't figure it out! i've tried printing to tape as well, assuming it would add pulldown, but even that wouldn't work...any ideas on what the hell is going on? on any menus i've found, it says it should be adding pulldown, though it doesnt seem to...oh so annoying...

Is your "Video Playback" under "Audio/Video Settings" set to firewire? This would be the first place I would look.

If this is set to firewire NTCS the next thing I would check is "External Video" under the "View" menu and make sure it is not turned off. Hope this is helpfull.

any ideas on what the hell is going on?Yup, your sequence setting should be set to 23.98 in order FCP to add those pulldowns, therefore to show it on a tv monitor...I bet you are working on a 29.97 sequence...
