Does Edius not handle stills & video combined?

Hopefully I am missing something, but I can't get the Edius Neo 2 demo to open any JPG images. This is a deal-breaker for me because I want to be able to combine stills & video in my final output. I can do this with Vegas. Does Edius not have a comparable capability?
 
Hmm.. Gotta be something with your stills. It handles every type of still I've thrown at it.

Here a demo where I import a folder full of stills... Mostly .jpg and .psd but some .png and .gif files in there too.

 
It's okay... We all were new once. I'm sure you could teach me plenty on Vegas even tho I've used the app many times.

You don't need to import the entire folder (I just happen to have done that in the video) you can either double click in the bin, or right click> add file.
