I'm curious as to how to achieve this in Davinci.
I'm just learning. But, this would be very helpful if shooting indoors with a bright window, or something like in the example picture.

On a still shot, I can figure it out, but the shot seen above has a dolly move. It move forward and the camera pans onto the subject sitting on the right. During the shot, the opening is seen and then it goes off frame to the left.
The brightness is reduced only on the opening of the door. Everything else is unaffected.

I know Id need to track the movement, but how exactly do I achieve all of this?
Especially in Davinci Resolve Lite

There are both tracking and keyframe tools available in Lite and they are pretty easy to use. There are heaps of tutorials on YouTube and Vimeo for moving power windows. Try this one:

I did that. Created a window around the opening with the custom shape design around the edges.
When I pressed the tracker, it did move. I didnt realize before that it was trying to track it.

But, I just cannot keep the window in the correct spot. It rotates or moves way too much.
Its a slow forward dolly and the camera pans right.
When the camera starts to pan right, the window tracker moves left and tilts looksing its spot.
The corner points are on the edge of the door and go way off. I try to adjust it by making it larger/smaller as needed and moving it left/right, but then everything before/after is messed up again.

I tried doing the tracking shot like in the video you sent around the guys head. It worked fine. But not for the barn opening.

Is there a way to key frame the shape/position of the window tracker?
Like when I adjust it, it retains its shape after I adjusted it, thinking that it would adjust into that shape automatically when it reached that point in the video, but it does not


EDIT: After looking through countless tutorials, I found what I was looking for. There is a keyframe thing on the bottom right. Just need to select it and then make the adjustments. I havent tried it yet, but that should do the trick
