creating a heartbeat monitor...

I would like to create a heartbeat monitor effect for a intro movie I'm making for someone's website. Googling it, I came across a book that had it as an example but I don't have that book. Any ideas how it would be done? It seems pretty simple...

Make sure you get the audio figured out first, and then convert audio to keyframes

Nice tutorial but too much fuzz. You can do it realistically with a heartbeat sound fx and with the plugin in AE that plays waveform data. Can't remember it's name now.

Oh, I didn't even think about doing it with the sound and trapcode soundkeys!
