Codec issues - XDVD (.mov)??

I'm having difficulty opening a bunch of quicktime videos. I'm working on a PC and believe the files were created on a mac. I tried importing footage into PP-CS5 and got a missing codec error.

When I try in either Quicktime or WMC I get audio but no video. So I tried opening with GSpot and got the following:

I updated the K-Lite pack but still no dice. Any thoughts?

Tried and failed.

After much digging turns out I need an XDCAM codec like:

$180 to buy, not at all impressed. Are there any free ones? I seriously doubt it.
