Can auto-ducking work if the track is a mix of dialogue and background noise?

As above. I am a 1 man show and only have 1 audio source. When it comes to PP, i tag on background music to it. Is there any way the auto-ducking feature can work to DETECT dialogue in my main audio track and duck it? Currently it simply ducks everything if it's purely based on audio level.

No there is not. The music and dialogue have to be two seperate tracks. I'm a little confused how you have everything as one source. Are you exporting all your audio as one track or are you physically recording two audio sources on one channel in your camera?
