Basic on-camera light recommendation?

I rarely use artificial light, but like to have something in my kit when the situation requires some. What reasonably priced and smallish models are good? Are Litepanels that good, or are generic brands just as good? I was looking at a Bescor LED-70, but not sure if it's junk or not.
