So I found this great video someone did with photoshop and after effects. They took a picture of someone and then used the eraser in photoshop to delete the person from the background. Then they took the background and deleted the person and then shifted the camera in after effects to give the look of someone floating. And then use the puppet tool to slightly tweak the person's movements.
I skateboard and snowboard so I was thinking of slowing down the person. Don't have money for twixtor
. But this might work with a little more effort. So I filmed this biker at the skateboard park near my house just to test it out. I played with the footage and sliced and diced it by creating 3 duplicates in after effects. The first one I cut just before he reached his climax. The second shot I extended a bit and if you right click on the layer you can have access to time where I changed it to freeze frame.
Then for the third it was him going back down the ramp.
Then I went to the freeze frame and added puppet tool and slightly manipulted his body. make sure you lock down the other layers first so it won't effect them.
Apply a motion blur in the end.
The problem I am having is that whenever I try to add certain camera moves or color correction I get stuttering of the material. Does this happen to a lot of people? I would really like to add a camera to make a matrix - style move, focusing in and spinning around him at the top. I shoot with 1080 24p. Would the footage be more workable in post if I used 720? Or if I transcoded the data?
Here's the video...

Thanks in advance for any ideas.
