I’ve used generative AI in photoshop and it’s handy at times. For fun, I wrote a simple short kids story and used Adobe Firefly to create the images for the story. I just entered basic prompt details that summed up each sentence in the story. Firefly filled in the blanks. The results were interesting at times and sometimes quite odd, but I was amazed at how quickly it could generate images. If you want to see this experiment, here it is…

This technology gets me excited and afraid at the same time. I can’t imagine how good it’s going to be in a few more years. Is it there yet? I don’t think so. I’d take a real artist any day of the week.
