Are there any good ways to mount an Anton Bauer light to a light stand?
I see this: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/880949-REG/anton_bauer_qrc_lg_gold_mount_with.html
Seems kind of expensive for just a mount, though I gather since it has three p-tap and other electronic parts that that...
I haven't seen much in terms of 120 fps slow motion samples, so I figured I'd share this rather basic test video I did to give an idea of it. Earlier I had filmed a brief test video in which I found the slow motion to be very soft, but I had the shutter set to 1/120 instead of properly at 1/240...
What custom profiles are you using?
I used the preset bt.709 on a wedding yesterday. Looks a bit less saturated than Wide DR. Not terribly sharp either. I haven't put anything through grading yet. Here are a couple frame grabs. This was at 1080p at 50 mbps.
Full-size...
I have VLC Player and it plays C300 Mark II 4K (though it's choppy on my computer), 1080 10 bit at 50 mbps, but the 12 bit 2k is giving me just a completely green screen when I play it in VLC player. If I recall rightly, the proxy files also did not play in VLC Player.
I just updated to the...
So what are you all doing about the top handle on your C300 Mark II?
Are you using it without the handle, using it with the handle and fitting it into a large case, taking it off with the Allen wrench each time you put it in a smaller case, buying a third party top handle that is easily...
I once had a Z-96 LED accidentally get turned on while in the bag since I left the batteries in it. Since there was no ventilation, it got so hot that the plastic bent, it started smoking, the batteries were burning hot, etc. The light did survive, but since then I always take out the...
This is a video I recently finished for a testing service company which I filmed in Herndon, PA, Atlanta, GA, Front Royal, VA, Trinity, FL, and Lehigh Acres, FL. C100 Mark II as A-camera, two C100 Mark I's for B and C-cameras for interviews.
I got a Hollywood Microdolly recently and used it...
Halloween related music video which I was the Steadicam operator for. Shot mostly with a couple C100s. Found the auto-focus to be useful for a lot of these shots.
2 hr 18 minute movie shot in one take, with 20+ locations, and lots of action. Lots of low light night scenes, long run time needed for media and batteries, small form factor for easily getting in and out of cars. Camera of choice, Canon C300. Is there really any better camera out there for...
What memory cards are you getting for your C300 Mark II?
Anyone notice the new Lexar Pro cards recently listed on B&H as "NEW RELEASE!"?
http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1186716-REG/lexar_lc256crbna3600_pro_3600x_cfast_memory.html
About the same price as the other Lexar Professional...
Probably a topic like this before, but who wants to grave dig. Quoting from a post that was just posted in another topic here since I'm feeling lazy.
First C100 I got in May of 2013 and it has 851 hours on it.
Second C100 I got in July of 2014 and it has 496 hours on it.
Third C100 I got in...
I saw DVXuser Osslund mention it a few times and I read his review of it here, but other than that I can't seem to find much user information on the light. I'd be interested to hear more opinions if anyone has used them and in how they compare to new contenders such as the Aputure Light Storm...
Did you design it yourself or hire someone to do it for you? If you hired someone how much did you pay? If you did it yourself what program did you use, how long did it take to make, and what previous web design experience did you have?
What suggestions do you have for building a...
Here's an interview demo reel I just finished putting together. It was filmed with two C100 Mark I's, a C100 Mark II, and a Panasonic GH2 (some of the tight shots). I did all of the lighting and audio for these interviews (and camera work, of course). Mics used were the Schoeps CMC641, Sanken...
When someone asks what your job title is, what do you say?
I think I generally say filmmaker or professional filmmaker. Sometimes videographer. I film mostly corporate, documentary, and events.
I figure this topic is relevant to the Cinema EOS forum as I'm curious what C-series types of...
Well, shot on a mix of C100 Mark II and C100 Mark 1. There are four segments here, two young families, which were filmed with the C100 Mark I, and an older guy with his family and a priest, which were both filmed with the C100 Mark II. For the priest and the older man's interviews, the C100...
I searched a few previous topics on this but couldn't find an answer. Are there any LANC controllers where I can turn the C100's autofocus on and off from the controller?
I'd like something that I can attach to a Steadicam gimbal so I don't have to keep reaching for the camera to quickly...
Have you tried plugging the HDMI from the C100 into a laptop and recording on the laptop's internal hard drive? You'd have to power the computer, speakers, mouse, etc., since the laptop battery probably won't last the whole shoot, so I'd suggest a generator on a cart. Kind of a big setup up...
This is a Steadicam reel I put together of footage I've shot with the C100. The first minute and 10 seconds is with the C100 Mark II and the rest is with the original C100.
Comments and constructive criticism welcome.
