I am curious to the role that image stabilisation plays in lens's that will be sitting on a tripod. Is it still advised? I an looking at the 70-200 2.8 , and it will be sitting on my tripod for most of the time. Is it worth still spending the extra $1000 on the imagine stabilisation? TWO PART...
