I'm a writer by training, a corporate flack by profession. I started out as a news photographer (in 1968), found I could make an easier living writing and ended up ultimately in PR. I'm still into photography, but frustration with stills (however timeless) drove me to video a few years ago. I finally wore out a consumer Canon and just bought a DVX100a because it fits my hands so perfectly. First projects -- after I finish experimenting and feel comfortable with the camera -- will be remakes of some old, lyrical, incompetent shorts based on my poetry and two new projects based on my wife's fiction.
