I've been a freelance print journalist for several years and am trying to make the jump to documentary filmmaking. I've taken a few classes at a local community college, just bought myself a dvx100a (in June 05), and am just going out there and shooting, joining festivals like CinemaSports and the 48-Hour Film Festival, etc.
