    Final Cut Pro 5.04 Effects?

    When editing in a 24p timeline no effects are visible when applied. In the VIEWER the effects are visible but not in the CANVAS or timeline. Has anyone experienced this? This does not happen when using 29.97fps footage only 24P and 24PA. Please can anyone offer advice?
