I'm finding this odd (and frustrating) occurence with whites sometimes. The tones/color appear as separate gradients, rather than on continues transition. So there may be a hot white spot with a yellowing stripe around it and another around that, or highlights on people's faces are so intense...

A couple times now I've looked at footage after the fact and found that the highlights on some people shot outdoors are way to hot. Some of this I've intensionally overexposed a little, but this just looks weird, like a posterized effect/glow. ANy ideas? Any experience with that flesh tone...
