Design Media Consultants
I majored in photo journalism in college. Worked with several well know photographers. Then did photography work as an independent. Decided there was not enough money in that business.
Went back to school and studied business. Became a CPA, CFP, registered investment advisor, etc. Did business consulting as a turn around expert. Also had my own martial arts schools and taught martial arts and firearms. Went back to school and got a degree in film and video.
As a business consultants, I was a turnaround expert who fixed ailing businesses. In the process, I determined that businesses needed financing, marketing, and management advice. So I opened a venture capital firm and supplied financing to companies. I opened an advertising agency and offered advertising and marketing. I was able to save businesses and help many entrepreneurs become successful.
Some of my martial arts students were bodyguards, so we traded skills. I also traded skills with some of my law enforcement firearm instructors. I became one of the first martial arts schools to integrate firearms into the program. I also became a bodyguard and worked in executive protection in Palm Beach, Florida.
The martial arts and guns are things I enjoy. Video is also something I enjoy. Retiring at age 40 and living on the island of Palm Beach for several years gave me a fresh perspective on life. Now I only do what I want to do. Including spending time in the mountains practicing survival skills. I also teach self defense and firearms on a limited basis. Time is more important to me than money.
Film and video are important to me. When my advertising agency was active, we did some big shoots with multiple cameras and larger budgets. Now I am more interested in working on documentaries or feature films. I will do selective video work, but money is not my motivation.
Retired at age 40 and now do what I enjoy.
Fim, video, martial arts, firearms, mountains, love.
