Funniest SNL digital short ever!

but after this even I have more respect for her. Great stuff

Seriously??? I'm with PK on this one....Taking an attractive, intelligent young actress and then trying to "turn her image upside down" with un-funny bleeped out obscenities...Seems pretty low in the creativity dept. to me, at best. At worst, this is just stupid.

They're trying way too hard to match Lazy Sunday. SNL finally has a chance to breathe some much needed new life into the show with the Lonely Island Dudes, but it seems like they're already losing steam.

I thought "Young Chuck Norris" was terrible too, though. Maybe its just me.

the idea for this one was for her to make fun of her image and how people perceive her. i thought it was very brave and funny of her to do that. but you are entitled to your opinion and i respect it.

Sorry Ravinesedge, I hope I didn't sound like I was picking on you. Just furthering the discussion. :) And I completely understand what you're saying about the sketch.

You guys built it up WAY too much. Lazy Sunday was MUCH better because it was two average guys rapping about their boring life, but trying to make it seem hardcore ("She acted like she never seen a 10 before!!"). It was brilliant in its simplicity.

This one just seemed contrived. Like, "Hey, Natalie seems like such a nice girl, what if we had her rapping about the sickest stuff we can get away with?" Isn't it funny having a squeaky clean actress saying this stuff? Yawn. Next they'll have a hardcore rapper reading prose. It's been done. Next.

Uh ? Having a bad night PK ? :nads:

I'm in the "not impressed" camp. Love Natalie, love Parnell, love that they're doing digital shorts.
Just a bad effort to capitalize on Lazy Sunday.
But thanks for posting the link.

I know a lot of people don't like her (acting wise and personally. i am not one of those people) but after this even I have more respect for her. Great stuff

I am always impressed with her. Great work in "Closer". Amazing actress.

I too have always been impressed with her. Closer was a good film I agree but her best prolly has to be "Garden State" or "The Professional" or "Beautiful Girls" those are my top 3 of her movies. Closer is number 4, but number 1 on another list of mine ;)

Actually, I was trying to tack that on to the end of your rant.

As though you were saying it to x2.

Okay... I sat through that whole crappy episode waiting for this thing to come on... and it was TOTALLY worth it!

Okay, the monologue was good too. But seriously, they need some new writers. Their current staff doesn't have any idea what the hell they're doing. There were no punch-lines! The sketches went nowhere! It was just a bunch of abstract absurdity.

You took the words right out of my mouth TC. I couldn't agree more.

I loved the Natalie Portman digital short, though!
