I was just watching tonights episode with Natalie Portman hosting. They did an SNL Digital Short and it was the funniest ever. Chris Parnell starts off asking what its like being Natalie Portman and it cuts to her rapping about how she goes driving drunk did weed and stuff in Harvard and is going to F- all the dudes and stuff.

My God funniest ever! Hope to get a link up asap. great stuff.

Okay... I sat through that whole crappy episode waiting for this thing to come on... and it was TOTALLY worth it!

Okay, the monologue was good too. But seriously, they need some new writers. Their current staff doesn't have any idea what the hell they're doing. There were no punch-lines! The sketches went nowhere! It was just a bunch of abstract absurdity.
 
Missed it! Well, if there isn't an official clip posted, hopefully somebody posts a bootleg!! None of you guys were running Tivo or a VTR??

You guys built it up WAY too much. Lazy Sunday was MUCH better because it was two average guys rapping about their boring life, but trying to make it seem hardcore ("She acted like she never seen a 10 before!!"). It was brilliant in its simplicity.

This one just seemed contrived. Like, "Hey, Natalie seems like such a nice girl, what if we had her rapping about the sickest stuff we can get away with?" Isn't it funny having a squeaky clean actress saying this stuff? Yawn. Next they'll have a hardcore rapper reading prose. It's been done. Next.

Was it so wrong that Natalie was still so incredibly hot even when I could clearly see she could kick my a**?

It was neat seeing her with such raw attitude, however, I don't really get these rap videos they've been doing lately, the Narnia one was funny but come on, rap is so old and boring now. WE NEED MORE COWBELL!!!

Saturday Night Live is a sketch comedy show on NBC. It's been on since 1975. The digital shorts are just little "short films" they shoot before the episode airs. Its a pretty neat idea and most of them are the best part of the show e.g. this one.

I know a lot of people don't like her (acting wise and personally. i am not one of those people) but after this even I have more respect for her. Great stuff
 
I actually thought it was just alright until Andy Samberg showed up in that viking suit. That's when I started smiling. Sure this has been done before, but the lonely island guys fully commit, making reasonably good beats, and then convince everyone involved not to deliver it 'tongue-in-cheek' but balls-out serious. Then they throw in a viking.

frickin funny.
