Apple itunes store & short films...

A few of my predictions for Apple's announcement today at 10am Pacific:

1. The birth of the iFlix Movie Store, selling movies online

2. True video iPod (a perfect match)

3. Intel MacMini, with HDMI output to hook directly up to your HD television, and use the FrontRow system with remote to control your new media center to watch your movies you downloaded from ifms.

I would like to see all those things, Kai. Especially the video iPod, considering I was about to buy one not too long, and I'm glad I waited.

Credit card is ready and waiting. :)

Here are the things MacRumors has been talking about since the announcement of the event:

Apple's Feb 28th Media Event takes place at 10:00am Pacific at the Apple Town Hall Building in Cupertino, California.

The most likely products for release include an iPod Boombox and the Intel Mac mini.

Meanwhile, Intel iBooks and Touch Screen iPods are said to be coming soon, but not necessarily at this event. Finally, some analysts are expecting a full blown Movie-download service from Apple.

Live coverage of the event will be limited due to the invite-only aspect of the event. MacRumors.com will link to live coverage and provide a running summary of events as they take place.

How nice would it be to be for indies to be able to hock their wares on "the itunes movie store?"

Bet today's round of Academy nominated shorts is going to be viewed by more people than all previous years combined. Even with modest downloads, bet it is by a large margin too.
