Contest has been extended till March 13 (my birthday). No one seems that interested, but fine by me! I'll keep my dough (and mystery boxes)!:cheesy:

A logo or a banner. Something that involves.. you know.. creativity?

Funny ones are welcome!

The production company name is "LeSeulGiraffe Productions" (It means "The Only Giraffe" in French).

There will be three competitions:

Best Logo

Best Banner (for use on DVXuser)

And the tough one:

A lead in for a short film representing the production company.

Winner of the best logo will receive a choice of $20, cute pictures of my dog, or a pick from the mystery box!
Winner of the best banner will receive 3 MiniDV tapes (or a pick from the mystery box!)
Winner of the best lead-in will receive $20 [in ones] (or a pick from the mystery box!)

Aaaaand... GO!

...provocative.

I'll be pondering.

PROVOCATIVE IS MY MIDDLE NAME!

Actually, it's Zac. But my friends call me Zac. Some don't even know it's my middle name! I tell them, "Bet you don't know my middle name!" And they don't! Because it's Zac!

Just kidding. I don't really have friends. Haha. Hahahahaha.

I'm so alone.

Actually, they do know your middle name since that is what they call you....they just don't know it IS your middle name. :costumed-smiley-047

That's what I meant...

OH YEAH! The end date for this lame "contest" is Wednesday (March 1st) at exactly 8:34:22 PM!

I say have some lions pursuing a herd of giraffes and one lone survivor makes it across the barren sand in a desparate death run. The last shot is a baby giraffe being mauled by the MALE lion as the loan giraffe sheds a single tear....

HAHA! Love the idea, John. But... CAN IT BE EXECUTED?!

I'm sure it can. Oh, and can I please have a special name? Maybe - "The Only Giraffe" or something? :love4:

..are these space giraffes or earth ones?

It's completely up to the creator. As long as it looks like a giraffe, it's fair game!

so we could go the star wars route and make a shoe look like a giraffe just like they used a potato and one of those animal things on naboo look like meteors? :)

I can't focus on the task at hand...all I can think about is what might be in the mystery box. It consumes me.

ISN'T IT MIND-BOGGLING?!?! :2vrolijk_08:

Just 2 little things :) :

"Giraffe" takes only 1 "f" in french -> Girafe

French language automatically gives a "genre" to each word whatever it represents (animal, things, rocks, etc...)

The genre can only be male or female.

So, even if there are male girafe and female girafe, the word girafe is considered as female, so to be ok : "leseulgirafe" -> "laseulegirafe"
"le seul" is for male words
"la seule" is female words

I know it sounds weird for english speaking people...

A telephone is considered as male
A computer, too
But a bottle is considered as a female !

Even Transsexuals have a genre in french !!

Yeah, I wondered about the same thing.
Just to clarify, because it might be lost otherwise, the female (feminine really) / male (masculine really) thing: the word is gender, not genre, but the point is a GOOD one.
Of course, sometimes these things can be deliberately spelt wrong, although in this case, I also thought it slightly off.

This new information has come as quite a shock to me.
In my 6 years taking french classes, I never would have thought.

Oh well. Too late to change anything now. :(
