That's all there is to it. It is a total must have for me....over the Merlin...over the dolly....over the crane.....over the jib....over even the best sound system possible (which I almost have). There's just no comparison to footage shot with and without a 35mm adapter. It's real ladies and gentleman! Now...make me one damnit! And send it to me quick!

Gotta have it....Marlene

there's already lots of options with various results...

MPIC
G35
LETUS
MY35
GO35
M2
MINI 35
SG35

....and more. buy one. Buy mine.

the crane the jib the dolly the merlin, and most definately a new mic....

those will add much more production value to your work than the adapter will, you can always open the iris, zoom and back up for shallow DOF

just my opinion

Good luck Marlene! Thanks also for your previous footage using the sennheiser g2. I got one last week and it does have a better sound quality than my sony UWP. Interesting though I used the senn lav with the sony and there was no discernable difference I could tell.

Yeah, I guess, but you slap an adapter on your rig and then you can never shoot with out it with out being sickened by the image.

ncje...I have been keeping up with your post, I like the new footage with the Merlin and Letus. Sure you can open the iris, way back up from your subject and zoom in for shallow DOF.......but there is a big difference. Mainly that you are restricting your composition by having to back way up and zoom in.

Anyway, your examples show nicely and I'm envious of your Merline and 35mm adapter.

Also.....I think the Senn Lav is a lot better than many give it credit. I love mine and I'm glad that you are happy with yours. I had one person tell me to ditch that lav that comes with the G2 and buy a better one.........huh??????

Marlene

Yes, I think the lav is pretty good, however my local dealer here has told me I can go and test some of thier second hand mics like trams to see what I think... will let you know. Also I am very sorry about my errors with the merlin footage, I feel somewhat that I have let people be misguided by some of my silly usage errors with it.

I think that you simply represented the fact that the Merlin requires practice, that's not misguidance. It's like anyone can go out and buy a top of the line camera but only a practiced and experienced camera operator can put good footage on that camera. Same with all equipment like mics and 35mm adapters.

I appreciate your posts with the Merlin and by the time I can get one......you'll be awesome with yours and I'll be making silly usage clips with mine :)
