Speilberg confirms Indiana Jones 4

My only concern is a George Lucas penned script.... I can almost hear Harrison now,"You're rough, like sand." ** Shivers ** I would rather have a Darabont penned script anyday. C'est la vie. Some Indy is better than no Indy.

For now. The last bit of press on Indy 4 was Lucas rejected Darabont's script and was doing a re-write himself. I have yet to hear anyone else's name attached to the screenplay other than Lucas or Darabont.

How about instead of "the sweet dessert after bitter herbs," he just gives us an entertaining movie after a decade of dredge?

I hope they don't get Ford. I don't want to see him as another John Wayne , old, fat , broke down and completely unbelievable.

Ford IS Indiana Jones. Without his involvement there would be no Indy 4.

I don't know. I'm going out on a limb here and say that I think if they're smart and play to Ford's strengths and make him an aging Indiana Jones the could come up with something cool, here.

I definately agree that is the angle they have to take with this film or else it's going to be ridiculous. I would hate for them to try and convince us that Indiana Jones is still in his 30's.

Personally, unless they are really smart about how they approach this film, I am opposed to them making it. Look what happened with Episodes 1-3 of Star Wars. We were all excited about them. Then they came out and they were all subpar films. Furthermore, those films were necessary to wrap up the franchise. Indy 4 on the other hand is not. I think Spielberg and Lucas should try creating something new, rather than trying to resuscitate older franchises.

They've already said that it's going to be an older Jones. If not Harrison's actual age, then very close too it.

I share concerns about Lucas working on the script, but I think we can still trust Speilberg to make good films.

if they do it right it will be a fun movie i just hope he doesnt do it for a side project this year and half ass it. like WOW.
