Most beginners do a ball, a box, a cylinder and a space scene.

Damn, that looks great, John. That dvd must be sinking in.

You're a busy man. Thanks for reminding me of how much of a lazy bastard I am.:)

looking good John. Corsair is a bad ass plane. the sucker is fast! they are notorious for stalling when in fast vertical climbs. but none the less, that won't effect your model. keep it up.

EEEPP!! Larry, I did you a disservice. I meant to QUOTE you, but I modified you.

Sorry!!!!!

All I meant to do was respond to "I particularly like that you are making the 3-prop version, not the 4-prop" -- to which I was going to say:

Really? The F4U-4 had 450 extra horses and the best combat rating of WWII.

Great! Thanks! Just wonderful!

I guess I'll get over it :) Mainly I was asking John (that's Sheriff Hudson to you out-of-towners) why the right wing (looking from tail to nose) is not bent like the left wing (and like the corsair wing is supposed to be).

Regarding my preference of the 3-prop over the 4-prop is not a technical reason...simply that I like the appearance of it. I would gladly take the 4-prop if it were given to me :) but since I am not in combat with it, my preference is purely aesthetic :)

Now, stay out of my posts Dr. J!!!!! <---- you know the drill

Ok, I see where the bend could be hidden in that angle...you're off the hook this time :)

I think the other comment I made that Dr. J deleted was that I was very impressed and to keep up the good work cause I may need you to model some stuff for me one day :)

Peace,
Larry

Hey John, can you make the wing by extruding the existing polys from the body? Or, are you plannind on merging them after everything is modeled?

Ah so smooth, look at those beautiful lines ahh..

I think I'm in the same boat as John, can't speak for John but as for me at times Its driven me close to "losing it". Man all I can say is never be scared of something that looks difficult go out there and Just DO IT, man it may not be great what you do at first but you can only get better.

MAN I love WWII birds. This is what I hope to own someday soon... North American AT6. Was used as the main trainer for most of the flyboys during the war. There's a bunch of guys at the hangars where I fly that have em. Punks.
