blair witch isnt horror its propaganda.

I agree that it isn't horror, but to minimize it as simply propaganda is wrong. It was a very well executed movie for what it was and what they used. More than that, it was also very effective.

I agree too, it's not scary at all. and the more I watch this movie, the less I can understand its meaning. what's the use of this film?!
personally I think it's such a stupid movie... :undecided

i don't know about horror film but jaws had me gripping the arms of the seat and then jumping up and out of it, and it took me awhile to go back in the ocean and i was on the lookout at all times. the shining made me laugh' i thought jack was funny. the excorcist scared me, the old one and the uncut version come on she is running down the stair case on all fours in a back bend. something that is probable. beleive me i've seen some **** on my table when i work on people (massage)it's amazing what the human body can do with the help of the dark areas of the mind.............an i'm not making this up

Blair Witch is a prime example of great marketing. Maybe if you believed the marketing, it was scary... but I fell asleep 3 times. It was one of the most boring movies I have ever seen.

Do you have the map?
No I thought you did.
I don't have the map.
Do you have the map.

and so on for 20 minutes...

Cool pick! I appreciate the original TCM, but am not a huge fan of it. Tobe needs to make more movies. Tool Box Murders was ok. He did a good job with it.

The Blair Witch Project .HHMM ..I was disappointed in this film ..more of a let down I think after all the Hype that was made .
I went to see these 2 at the theater when they came out . The 1st Texas Chainsaw was great when it came out. Geeez the thought of being cut up by a chainsaw was unthinkable !!! . The 2nd version I thought was a bit of a comedy .The bit with Dennis Hopper crawling across the table and the guy underneath with the chainsaw cutting thru , of course it rips on Dennis ass and he says something about his hemroides feeling better . I have not seen the newest remake as of yet . Ian

it was nothing but propaganda to get peopel to think it was true story and somethign intersting it was crappy looking and was boring it sucked so therefore it shouldnt be anything.

yeah look at all those people who paid to watch that ****.....aww whatta they know ,they aint got **** for brains....but now they do....but i did like the scene where they were running........ha ha ha ha got ya.... what did p.t.barnum say there's.........

yea it sad that peopel pay for crap its movie like that help people make crap get to the screen.

To me The Blair Witch project isn't scary at all.. infact I think it's a pretty boring movie...

I saw the texas chainsaw massacre.. don't really like it :undecided

If you were in the minority of people that thought it was real, and the footage was real, Blair Witch MIGHT have been scary.

To put it in the same league as the Exorcist is just crazy. Its not as well made and really unless you are one of those .01 % of people who thought the BWP was real, the movie was boorrrriiinnnggggg. Great use of what they had, though. Kudos for that. But that's it.

... i think the Shining is the scariest, then the omen then the exorcist if anything. a usual answer for people who are totally into horror, would most likely be the exorcist... im not saying that it wasnt a scary flick... but i really actually get into the story when watching the shining, and to me that movie is scarier.. and the eerieness of the omen like the hanging part in the beginning tops the exorcist to me.. but give it up for Dick Smith for creating makeup for ragen like that... if anything, the makeup is frightening kus it was done by the GODFATHER of Makeup.

I agree; those are nice choices.

The Shining has such an emptiness to it; spooky. And the typing on the typewriter; shudders.

I think The Excorcist haunts people for it's GOD/CATHOLIC vibe

Speaking of the religious vibe...I'm kind of suprised that more people haven't mentioned Rosemary's baby.

That and Halloween would definitely be on the list for me
(along with the Shining and Exorcist).
