Hi all,

I need to post a bunch of videos for my company's website. I'm wondering if anyone has any feedback/experience converting to Flash from Quicktime for the web and how to acheive the best results for visual quality and quickest download time?

The sizes we are using are 400X300 and 470X280

Thanks!

can the budget afford sorenson squeeze? you want to be able to do two-pass encoding with the on2 vp6 flash codec, probably variable bitrate stuff... although the latest version of squeeze also does h.264 encoding with the mainconcept encoder, which can be played back in the flash player, and it's a more efficient codec than vp6.

are you working on a mac? there are some freeware solutions available.

there is an open source application called visualhub that you may want to check out... or rather, it used to be called visualhub, now it's ???

i'm on a pc, so i don't have specific details, i've never run it.

to flash .flv files. I just import the .mov files to the stage in flash then export as an .flv.
