Imported footage looks pixelated?

Hello, I recently shot something with my DVX100 in 24pa, and when I am importing the video into final cut pro, it looks very pixelated in certain parts of the video. When I play the tape through the camera into the TV, it looks fine. Here is an image of what I am talking about

any ideas? I really need help with this as it is going to be on TV and this image will NOT look good on TV once burned onto a dvd

Try a color smoothing filter. Make sure that is a fully rendered clip too, not RT. DV footage can look like this when you have harsh colors.. maybe try desaturating it too.

Cant remember which one I used to apply to DVX footage but Im pretty sure it was Natress G Chroma smoother - found in these plugins http://www.nattress.com/Products/BigBox/Bigbox.htm

It totally takes out this blockiness in hard blues and reds and the image looks natural.

for DV, use the 4:1:1 chroma smoothing from Natress (or the stock one in FCP).

thanks for the information, is the Natress chroma smoother available for free or can I use the demo to render footage? For now I'll try the chroma smoother within FCP
