Graphic card for apple color

Wich graphic card you think is the best to run apple color? In the manual I was reading that Nvidia don,t support 16 bit or floating in render.
It,s true?

on my mac pro I went from the stock nvidia 7300GT to the ATI 3870
I saw a 20-30% speed increase overall with apple color, very happy :)
 
Don't get nvidia cards for use w/the ProApps. Currently ATi cards, even ones w/lower specs, perform better w/Motion and Color.

another question: I saw the most expensive graphic card wich apple sell with mac pro is the 4870 with 512 MB. It´s better than 3870 with 1Gb? here are the specifications:

i'd wait for barefeats.com to benchmark it against the 3870 and see how much of an improvement it is...
