The new Jaime Foxx starring Sam jackson, Forest whitaker and...RON HOWARD?!

Hilarious...I haven't followed videos for a while, but it's good to see Hype Williams finally bought another lens. That fish-eye crap was obnoxious...I am getting tired of T-pain's vocoder though.

Hype used to be an amazing video director. This one sucks. But his older stuff still holds up.

It looks like all those people were at a grammy party or something and jamie said "hey see if hype is available and let's shoot a video"

This was so odd to watch. It had opening credits with A list names (and for some reason Ron Howard), and I was almost thinking it was gonna be like a short film like Michael Jackson always did with his videos. And then it was just a regular hip hop video. Flashy colors with booze and cash flying around. I don't get it.

Why are they in this video exactly? Why this particular group of people? What an odd thing to do. I'm all for arbitrary weirdness, but in this case, I'm just confused. I really want to know how he landed on those names. My theory is that Hype Williams wrote a bunch of A-list stars names on little pieces of paper, threw them in a hat, shuffled it, and pulled out those names. Then he just said "Well, I guess." and then proceeded to put them in this cliche hip-hop video. What I'm even more curious about, is how they initially reacted when they were asked to be in the video. I imagine Ron Howard asking "What's a T-Pain?"

I can picture Jaime pitching it Ron. I thought is was great. Strange, but very cool nonetheless. The one location, lack of production quality, and random A-list'ness makes me believe they were all in or near the same area and just threw a quick video together.
Plus Foxx is a hollywood heavyweight now and he can call in favors.

I though it was cool they had all those faces in here....odd...but cool.

You gotta admit...Richie Cunningham looked cooler than he ever did....even with the chrome dome.

I love how you titled the thread though....LOL
