Caldigit/G-Tech--how loud are these units?

I'm about to purchase new storage and am looking at Caldigit, which gets very high marks on these boards, and G-Tech. Can anyone offer a comparison of how loud the fans are in say the Caldigit VR or G-Safe/G-Speed? Has anyone ever used one of these and felt that they were loud enough to become annoying after a while?

I own the Caldigit VR (500GB) and I don't think that the loudness ever gets obnoxious or even annoying. It is louder than my Western Digital drives (old drives, not the MyBooks) but its nothing I have ever found to be a pain.

However, if it were louder... I would still gladly take that given their great bench marks. Hope it helps!
