Academy Awards: In Memoriam (and Oscar's Discussion Thread)

i saw the footage from the other night. looks pretty cool. I might be going to the kodak theater later tonight to sit in on some reshoots of the screens. they followed most of the direction we gave for camera coverage. sometimes not. anyway, making more adjustments tonight so we can get the final pre-tape cut and ready for sunday.

and still, it looks cool, but i find the extra screens distracting, you're likely to miss some people if your eyes wander off the center screen.

it's on right now penguin...

I dub this the official oscar's thread of dvxuser... (if that's ok with you, Zak)

oh, well in that case.... Ben Stiller was pretty classic... I just caught some clips of Phoenix last week, so it was fresh on my brain...

That was Phillipe Petit -- the literal Man on Wire. We just watched that a couple nights ago. Amazing story and a fantastic documentary. Definitely deserved to win.

Still waiting for Zak's piece.

Looked like they not only tied your hands, they cut them off. Good effort, but I know if they just let you have at it, it would have been much more memorable.
