I'd love to see if the light loss difference from SGpro to SGblade with RR1 in it is measurable.
I'd say the image from SGpro to SGblade with RR2 is quite different. The original GG, on top of the obvious differences like speed and bokeh rendition, might add a bit of a grain-like effect... something... perhaps the words and understanding escapes me so much I shouldn't even try to comment on it. I'll leave that to the DOPs and avid shooters in the thread to discuss... but there is something magic about the original that is missing on the RR2.
I'd say those of you with both RR1 and RR2 have a phenomenal adapter... I'd shoot with the RR1 and swap for night exterior stuff or use it when no lights are available, time is short, etc...
I can't wait to see some 200 and 170 footage! which will obviously be far superior in every way to both the crappy EX1 and the crappy A1,just kiddin'
Thanks to both of you for posting footage!
Good looking stuff.
My ROTOrazor 1 footage is already posted in another thread. I'll shoot some ROTOrazor 2 footage as soon as the weather cooperates which, unfortunately, probably won't be until next week.
ROTOrazor 2 uses exactly the same Imaging Element as used in the SGpro. The Bokeh characteristics and texture are identical.
the RR2 is perfect for 720p and SD cameras. the incresed sharpness of the RR1 if really critical in 1080p cameras, like EX1 and HVX in 1080p mode. Though, i must say the EX1 which i have been using lately, is NOT kind to faces. It really resolves every imperfection, then draws a white line around it to emphasize it more, then makes sure it stands out more by actually being able to record it to 1080p signal.
haha.
I have yet to put theEX1 on a RR2 or Sgpro. i want to see how the subtle sofness of the adapter effects the insane res of the EX1....

Turn down your detail settings Timur. Many people turn them off altogether.
Be careful though very low detail actually softens the picture artificially and is much softer that detail off.
I seem to remember that - 20 o r -25 was the same as detail off. Check it out yourself though.
