Does the lens have any fungus, mold, scratches, rust, discoloration, dirt, wear, haze, to the optics ?
How smooth is the focusing, any sticking, clicks, sloppiness ?
Check the inner threads of the lens to see if they're cracked.
If it passes these above, then you're looking at $150.00 - $350.00 depending on its condition. If it is any higher than that, it is up to you. You would also need to know the body type, that can change the price too (AI or Non AI).

BTW - I already have a 50/f2 which is excellent but thought a lens 1 stop faster could be nice to have also for low light emergencies. (justification to myself).
