That was just my silly way of saying that the jump looked dangerous. I'm sure if someone is doing that sort of thing, they likely know what they are doing. My "joke" was that a second or two after your shot he had to have wiped out. I'm sure the guy was fine though .......
Wow Bill, that black and white looks like it was shot in the sixties. I am a huge fan of music based photography, and love the "in the studio" kinds of sessions. Please keep it up.
Breathtaking clouds. I wonder if there is a way to easily add a bit of contrast to the top right corner? Just to the pinkish area which really drains the rest of the frame for me.
Hey Adam, nah, nevermind hehe Seriously though I really like that location, and that guy can jump. I hope you'll post more stuff from there soon. Have you gone there a tad earlier in the afternoon? I wonder what it would look like then when the strobes matched just a tad bit more.
Bill, I love those keyboards! I think my favorite is the first because of the emotion on the musician's face, though the second is very cool too.
Thanks Roberto! thanks to the south wind we had a really impressive sunset yesterday (for you today), so I have more photos coming. as you suggested I made some changes in the upper left corner and I think that the new version is better, here it is.
Today I was digging in my archives and I found this photo that I really like (It's from a trip I did to england by ferry, that explains the face they have.....you know....there was a heavy storm going on outside...and the ship was shaking pretty hard.......).
So I am going to pick up my first 80-200 F2.8 AF. This is the first Push Pull edition. Scored it for $415. See if I like it or not when I get it today.
I was just thinking about the ability to use it with no drawbacks on a lens adapter with a follow focus. It really isn't much of an issue for that either, unless it tends to zoom as you pull focus but that shouldn't happen either.
I got the very first version of the Push/Pull...the only one thing I do not like about this lens is that the focus is not internal. The barrel moves when you focus so therefore a polarizer is useless on this lens. I can see where people say it is hard to shoot fast moving stuff with suck slow zoom motor...but other than that the lens is performing just the way i though it would..
Last weekend I dragged my roommate out to shoot some business headshots of myself, so I had him stand in so I could set the camera up and then we switched places. Here's a photo of him that I think turned out pretty well for just checking the focus on a sample pic:
