Hard to go back to an adapter...

Tried to import via L & T and it wouldn't allow it. Opening and dropping proxy files require long render. Do I just need to go to Red cine and transcode to Pro Rez?
Did you install the Log and transfer plug-in for FCP? You can get it at the RED site.

It's probably updated by now, come to think of it... maybe I should grab it also.

Once you install that you should be able to navigate to the files like you would P2 files on a hard-drive, then choose which balance (tungsten, daylight, etc) and do your Log and Transfer.

I've actually had some people report a buggy log and transfer and having to uninstall or install other things. Check the RED forums, it's supposed to be a semi-common issue.

By the way, I just realized you said that you're now a RED owner: the newfound freedom is nice, huh?

yeah but looks like video camera with 35mm lens , i dont quite like its digital quality ,there is not this nice gray tone on human skin like with film, its digitalness here. But quality of course is nice.Maybe it needs different lens to bring those gray tones from skin and on those stills honestly it looks like regular digital 35mm stills not like film.
White is too white on video cameras.

After the usual "RED GRADING" process these would look very nice.
