Gear Ring for Canon FD 85mm f1.2L

I just bought this lens and the barrel is too large for my RR lens gear to fit. I'll have to get a new gear ring for it but I don't know what size is necessary. Can one of you who has this lens tells me the circumference that would be appropriate? Or better yet, just tell me which Redrock gear size will fit it (B, C or D). Thanks.

Can you measure it?

The table is up on the RR site to indicate the fit.

According to this page, your lens' max diameter is 80.8mm.

If I remember my elementary school math correctly...
80.8 x 3.14 = 253.7 mm circumference.

Which means you need the 32-C size Redrock gear.

I thought the 85L requires you to hook it up to the body in order to focus, because its all electronics?
Dont have an L, so i wouldnt know, but would love to purchase one if it works with an adapter!

He's referring to the older FD version of the lens, the manual focus one. The electronic ones that are hard to control the aperture on are the newer EF series (the autofocus ones).
