more then 12 weeks ago i bought a flex track dolly on ebay. i knew that it would take long to get it shipped from canada to germany. but after waiting two months patiently i asked the seller todd poirier about the status. i recieved the last answer from him three weeks ago: "I'm out of the office until Monday. I will make this top priority when I get back! Thanks, Todd". All my further emails remain unanswered! no product arrived. no refund.

i start to realize that i got frauded. to avoid that anyone else loses his money i post this warning in every independent film making forum i know.
to stay fair i will send todd poirier a link to every post to give him the chance to react.

i hate to have no other choice then to make this public.

So just contact ebay and get your money back from PayPal...
 
i'd still open up a paypal dispute even if it is past the required time. Just to see what happens.

sorry bro, but maybe that´s a lesson to be learned...
shipping from the US to Germany shouldn´t take longer than 2 weeks and you normally get an "order has been sent" information, so why the hell did you just wait over 2 freaking months???
I mean it´s ebay!
B&H would have been a different case, but ebay, dude...

PS if you desperately need some dolly movement, try Zazas DIY indyslider solution, costs around 130€ and ships in 2 days from Köln, the companys name is IGUS...
 
Caligari - why did not you post earlier !!!! Man, I am in the same situation.... :9 ordered flex track dolly and the matt cover... paid almost AU$1300 back in 13 october 2008 for express international post. he confirmed the expected delivery date 5 Nov 08. from CANADA to AUSTRALIA it should not take more than 2 weeks for express post as i did receive from some other shipments from North America - CANADA & USA.... i don't know what sort of shipping arrangement he has made... eventhough his charge is based on CApost... now it is almost 50 days... no sign of shipment ! Keep emailing requesting for TRACKING #... everytime he ignores providing that... he replied 2 of my emails... last one was the same that he was out of office or what so ever... I believed and then he also mentioned that he will provide necessary information by that day since then no reply !!!
Now I am keep requesting for refund my money back... as i have paid by my credit card... I am so dissapointed and frustrated with the services ! Hope I am not loosing my $1300 !!!!! I read couple of reviews in DVX as well i thougt all good... but not !!!

Anyone knows how to get refund back ???
 
This is really unfortunate. I have ordered from Todd several times, last time just over a month ago (same dolly) and he was always on top of things, even going so far as emailing me when I missed two delivery attempts. Todd is a stand-up guy, but he's a one man band and it saddens me to hear of this happening. I'll try to get in contact with Todd and hopefully he'll come on here and make things right.
 
@dotmix: sorry for posting too late for you. but i hope that we prevent others from making the same mistake. did you buy on ebay or on his website? please help to post this warning all over the net!

@huy vu: i already invited him to this thread. no reaction. but please go on to ask him about these accusations. i'm curious if he has any explanations for you.
 
I've ordered on June 2008, and I've not received the order...

Most credit cards will let you reverse the charge if no shipment of merchandise...
 
Thanks fred I am in process with my credit card company.. they are investigating the matter.. I also filed a case with international online criminal offences unit in Canada.
