Photos into FCP--Photoshop question

I was wondering if anyone knew why:

Before when I scanned pictures and saved as .psd they would show up in FCP as sequences I'd have to open and then use the layer. Now, for some reason they show up just like .jpg or other pics do, and no longer sequences.

Any genius got a reason?
 
Thanks for the reply! Yes, I was saving as .psd.

Here's an answer from another board:
"when you choose 'save as' in photoshop, if you check the 'layers' box it will show up as a sequence in fcp, but if you uncheck the 'layers' box and save it 'as a copy' it will appear as a jpg does in fcp."
 
Yeah... saw that over at apple.com discussions. Good answer. I wouldn't have thought of that.
