Is the Economy screwing everyone right now?

I work at a hardware store part time and were down 25%

Just wondering if anyone else here is having tough times financially right now, and if not, any advice for me to get little side gigs to help pay bills and buy more equipment?

I'm involved about 85% of the time with web companies. Web video is still booming. Though the budgets are usually smaller than television and film budgets, there seem to be many projects out there.

I stay flexible by doing independent work along with some agency work.
