I need some help. Magic Bullet Looks shows brighter image than FCP.

I've used the older MB Suite but I tried MB Looks 1.1 today and I'm having some bad results. As I work with the images in MB Looks, I can get it the way I want, but once it goes back into FCP, it's really dark and contrasty.

I also noticed that when I first brought the image from FCP into MB Looks, MB showed it as much more washed out and brighter than the original footage appears in FCP. Is there some setting somewhere that's messed up?

Here are some examples. Here are some color bars. The top ones are in FCP, the bottom ones are the exact same bars but after being sent to MB Looks. They have NO effects on them at all, but you can not only see the difference in some of the colors, but also the brightness or contrast. Look at the pluge

Here are those two images laid on top of one another in a ventian blind layout so you can compare one to the other. This makes color correction impossible because everything just looks inherently brighter and more washed out in Magic Bullet. So I do my color correction and grading but then when I bring it back into FCP, everything is too dark and too contrasty.
