I know that I am just talking to myself here but that's okay.

Just wrapping up my visit to Waco.

I had the pleasure of meeting Dustin Rogan, Gary French, Jason Spinos and his wife Becca. We dined at George's restaurant in Waco. (Great burger! Big Beer!)

After dinner, Jason and Becca went their own way as Dustin and Gary joined me back at my RV for a podcast shoot. During the shoot, another Waco dvxuser joined us. Matt Bravo. Matt was a late addition to the gathering but believe me... he left his mark!

We concluded the podcast shoot after an hour as the drinks started to make their rounds. Soon we were watching our own films and just talking filmmaking. As the night wore on, Dustin had left to be with his gf, Matt was passed out in my hallway with his head in the bathroom (not enough room to completely pass out in the bathroom!) and Gary and I watched Living In Oblivion... a film that I highly recommend viewing. It has been a favorite of mine for a long time.

After the movie, Gary and I got Matt up from his fetal position on the floor and transplanted him to my couch. Gary headed out and I went to bed.

Now morning has come. Dustin drove by and got us up for breakfast at the ihop.

This concludes my visit to Waco.

I had a great time meeting the boys here and am looking forward to editing the footage from the podcast taping.

just an update... I am downloading and watching clips from the podcast taping. Looks great given the studio limitations. Fun stuff. I can't wait to get this all on my computer and start editing!

Thanks again Dustin, Gary and Matt for making this happen. It was a blast. (though I have to say that I am a lousy interveiwer! But it was fun.)
 
HAHAHAHA! sounds like you guys had fun, particularly Matt! I love stories like that... please tell me you got pictures of all this?
 
no. I actually thought of taking photos but it was kinda sad, LOL. There are a couple of photos and a screen grab on Gary French's lossfest thread. A pretty funny story...

This morning I found red numbers printed backwards on my RV toilet seat. Matt had written his phone number on his hand with a red sharpie!

Hmmm... I wonder how that got there.

I hope you stopped by for that pic we're talking about gettin you Ted....though don't know if its worth driving back to get that but it would have been great to have for the travels!

Yeah, I'd like that photo. Maybe one of you guys can snap it for me and send it to me. OR, I'll get it myself if I head back up your way. (I wouldn't mind another visit! Going to have to restock the bar though!)
