Trying to get a FS-100 to work with a JVC GY-HD100

Well this is my problem. I was led to believe that I would be able to get a FS-100 to work with my JVC HD100 camera. I have been though the setups for about 3 hours and have not even been able to record manually off the Firestore. I am not sure if I am missing something here or what. Have you been able to make this work? Or know if there is a way. Any advice would help, thanks in advance.

The Firestore fs-100 is meant for use with Panasonic P2 cameras only. You want toe DR-HD100.

The FS-100 can only work with the HD100 in DV mode. The FS-100 cannot record any flavor of HDV.

Thanks a lot I am not looking to replace my FS-100 with a DR-HD100 then. Appreciate the comments!
