Mounting Mattebox onto Nikon Lens

I've got a century optics mattebox and need it to mount onto my lenses. A 72 to 105mm adapter ring and a 95 to 105mm adapter ring came with the mattebox, but they don't fit the lenses. My lenses are Nikon 50mm 1.4 and 28mm 2.8. Is there a special type of ring that needs to screw onto the lens?

I'm leaving out of the country soon for production so any quick advice you can give is my appreciated. Here is my mattebox.

Your Nikkors are probably both 52mm for screw-in filters and step up rings (I'm assuming these are Ai-S). So you need to get to 72, 95, or 105. I have never seen anything that goes from 52 to bigger than 80, so you probably need this.

It is likely that the filter thread on yoru lens rotates as you focus. If it dosnt, it will defiantly move in and out, so your mattebox will move around and maybe rotate as you focus. Best to get a rail system and use a proper rod mount mattebox...

I wouldn't do it. Nikon mount/lens isn't made for that extra business. A step up ring would make it possible but the weight will lead to a trail of tears.
