someone keeps taking photos of my house at nighttime...

1200%!!!?

i haven't called the cops... yet. i'm gonna talk to my family when they wake up. which is in about 30 minutes :D

The good news is, he'll probably move on to a neighbor's house. It'll be an easier target than one in which there's always someone awake.

noel, i live in Willamstown. 20min west of the city.

my family brushed the flashes off as nothing when i told them... it's a conspiracy!

SEE... I told you...ALIENS!
If you start to see pods growing in the house...get out.

(...and you can't kill aliens with guns or knives...you have to stab them at the base of the neck with a steel spike...just sayin')

Sounds pretty strange. I would let the cops know for sure.

My car got broken into a year ago stupids kids stole all of my CDs but left my CD player :).

Taking photos of your house at 4 A.M. on more than one occasion that seems like something is up.

If they really wanted to see the architecture of your house wouldn't they take photos in daylight???

Hey jenningsp, Question, can your editing equipment be seen from your house? And do you have a camera and full package etc. Keep an eye on people who know you have that stuff and keep your curtains closed or get blinds or black curtains. I use to have heavy black leather curtains. Kept the sun off my screen and kept people from seeing inside my apartment. Now I have black curtains but they have a lining on them.

Just recently someone was caught breaking into the apartment building next to ours. They tried to be slick and climb up using a ladder but the cops busted their butts mid-theft and they went to jail. This was somewhat daring as they tried to do this in broad daylight (no one was home).

Wow! Tense.

people probably have seem me with my full camera setup walking to/from and shooting outside my house... but nothing can be seen from the street usually.... i did have the front room packed full of about 15k of gear a couple of weeks ago though... with the camera on display... i suppose anyone who walked up to the house would of been able to see that... but my camera is now in room on the second story.

I never shoot anything around here (where people know me). And this isn't a bad area in itself but everyone around here ain't on the the up and up. If I need to shoot in an area like this area I go further South or West. Northwest here is best because you get that same hardcore feel but also a large crowd.

The projects used to be around Clark and Division but it's also a club district. Now that the projects are gone there's still some roughnecks around but not many real thugs. Some wannabe thugs are around, like guys who ride up on you on a bike (not a motorcycle, I literally mean a bike) telling you how they own the streets and you have to ask permission to shoot there. I'm usually doing martial art films and usually surrounded by well trained martial artist and many times just big mean looking guys. Not to mention the crowds and the fact the cops are known to keep watch so if anything pops off people see it.

Just some things to keep in mind. And always keep your gear in your bags so people have to guess what you have. Most people think I'm an avid golfer or that I like to camp a lot. I prefer it that way. Someone looking to steal camping gear will be mighty upset.

i think they know you're gonna make it big, so they are taking pics now so they can say "we did it then..." before anyone else knew

Yeah, something sound suspiciously set up about that one. Young filmmakers (filmmakers in general) have to be so careful now days. And we see it's not just in America.

Energy drinks (about 3 oughta do) + comfy lawn chair + shrubbery (for secreting yourself in) + baseball bat / 40" gag arm / heavy, rusted farm implement + naughty picture takers = a night of adventure.

That or call the cops. Come on though... you know you're thinking about it.
