Hey all,

I was watching the special features of Se7en the other day and in particular the colour correction feature and was wondering what software Stephen Nakamura was using on that feature?

I was thinking it was Discreet Lustre, but then thought of Apple Color, anyone know?

Cheers

what really happend in the look of seven was a combination of things not only color correction, I remember that part of the look happended by accident due to the film stock they used how the negative was developed, most likely they used a davinici suite for cc although apple color holds its own against this monster systems for cc

Ah thanks man, i never heard of that one, maybe cause most big budget movies use it. lol.

Color it is for me then!

the davinci 2K is incredible.

though Khonji attained most of the look through bleach bypassing and adjusting the print lights when transferring the negatives to positives.

There is a chapter just on the look of this film in the book; "Reflections- 21 cinematographers at work" by Benjamin Bergery. They used a modified bleach bypass technique that leaves some but not all of the silver halides in the film. Its a great read.
