This is what happens when you don't unplug...

I watched The Exorcist at a much younger age. I turned out just fine. ...

You sure? haha, just kidding.

Actually, I was referring to the immediate perception that this kid is typical of asshole teens, as you would expect to find posting on sites like youtube. Which at first glance would appear to be the case. But that's another thread.

So that's what I was getting at. I think it's a little deeper than a child simply being overly childish.

//Okay, it's obvious. Just step back a couple threads...

///Oh Tom, if your ever in Canada, your welcome for dinner. The custom is to bring your own deer (as in deer-meat), but seeings how your from the states and all, just bring lots of beer and we'll over look it. Well, maybe better bring a pizza or chinese take-out just in case. Or hot dogs. Just bring beer.

Or did I just prove your point.

No, Mike, you're somewhat normal... :D

Actually, I wasn't allowed to watch anything like that when I was a kid... yet I go out driving and I swear, if I had a baseball bat... :lipsrseal

Raptor, I would be honored to get wasted and eat pizza with you...

There are definitely at least two predominant issues that I have with this.

One is the kid and the fact that someone strongly needs to unplug him. That's what happens when you get to wrapped up in internet forums, or social networking sites, etc...

The other, is the encouragement of his obsession by his brother and his friends by their behavior, and the strong emotions that are being connected to his obsession as a result... They would be akin to trolls, methinks.

Just gotta unplug sometimes, and if you can't someone needs to do it for you. Whenever you start to take anything online too seriously, it's time to step away

Except when it's DVXuser...right? RIGHT?

Not only is Tom right when he says technology has poisoned this kid, but another (possibly larger) aspect to it is parenting (or, very likely, lack thereof in this case). A kid that age should not be in the position to become like that. That is, if it is for real.
