WTF? Kanye says he is the next "Beatles"?!?!?! Not a chance in *(&^&#! Hell. Talk about being conceited. Kanye can kiss my a**, if that is what he thinks. Strive to achieve the same level of musicianship and public support, fine, but to be the next "Beatles"??? That was a comment that will haunt him for the rest of his pitiful career, the suspected/accused child molester he is.
 
Miley Cyrus: Should get music that doesn't copy music from the past. Anybody remember "Rock Lobster" by the B-52's? Compare the chorus. But hey, we have short attention spans and memories, not.

Me?? A Kanye fan, after those comments? Not a chance. If anything, my opinion of him went even lower than it was before.
 
haha, no i mean me. i did want you to think i was defending kanye. or saying i thought he was bigger than jesus. ha!
 
And Maria Carey doesn't have half the musicianship Elvis did, regardless of how many records she sold or how "treated in post" her voice is. Half of her sales were sold on her back.

I absolutely hate how these people disregard those that went before them, as if they have no influence on what their music is now.
 
Pop/Rock-Female artist Rhianna, okay not a bad choice music-wise, but WTF was she wearing? A bedspread, maybe a white packing blanket? Maybe next time, get a wardrobe consultant that has somewhat of a clue. Jeez.

She's hot, but that crap she was wearing made her look like a homeless person.
 
How about a T-Mobile award for the artists that sounded too much like the artist before them? Jonas Brothers? Please, they've been done before. I want cutting edge music, not some crap that has been played to death. And they aren't all that interesting. NKOTB, Back Street Boys, etc, it's been done already.

Show me something I haven't seen or heard. Show me some amazing talent. Show me something unique. Erggggggh. This is nothing but a stinking popularity contest with the award going to the artist that has the best publicity agent. Show me that award, then I'll believe the hype. It has nothing to do with the best music or talent. I have AutoTune and can make the passable vocalist sound great too. Yeah, AutoTune has been done on a bunch of these hacks. Woooooo-ooooooooooo, they're amazing talent. Yeah, right, and I am Frank Capra.

Sham. Depressing. A waste of time.

You gotta understand, I come from the music industry. I spent thousands upon thousands on my set-up here for music. And yes I had some interesting gigs and clients. But the crap I had to deal with was beyond imagination. I went into video because I would have more artistic control over the final product. And believe me video IS more artistic, at least in my book.

Here I have at least a chance at shaping the "image" and using my creativity. That coupled with my audio background and feel for music, I can develop a cutting edge for an artist. I hate boilerplate music. I start working with an artist next week on an unusual and artistic marriage of different music styles. Makes me feel alive, if you understand. Gives me purpose.
