New monitor has a dead pixel.. your thoughts?

I just purchased a brand new Panasonic BT-LH1700W from an authorized US dealer listed on Panasonic's website and it's got a GREEN pixel just slightly off center screen. I've only had this monitor hooked up for two days, I'm sure it's been there all along.. Is this a warranty issue to be dealt with Panasonic, or should I just return it and ask for another one from the dealer? Any thoughts on what the "right" thing to do in this situation would be? Thank you in advance... Sincerely.

return it, you paid for it right? get your money's worth, nothing less, this just happend to me on a plasma I ordered, it arrived home, hooked it up to the bluray player and watched a movie, upon further inspection I noticed it had one dead pixel, I put the damn thing back in the box and get a return order, the wife tells me "do you really need to return it? its only one dead pixel"

damn right, I paid for it, I expect to get my money's worth
just me .002

Well, yeah. I paid 2370.00 for it with shipping. That's over 2000 bucks for a 17" monitor. So, I expect it to outperform the 250.00 consumer LCD I used to use. We'll see what happens tomorrow.

Thanks for your input.

well even more so with what you paid, thats a no brainer, remember that if one day you should sell the monitor you are going to have to explain and get paid less for the monitor that has a dead pixel
just get a replacement, good luck man
